Zero Emission Services has developed an all-in concept for emission-free inland shipping. It consists of exchangable energy containers with Lithium-ion batteries. The charging stations are placed at strategic locations in The Netherlands. These stations also provide energy to other modalities and help stabilize the grid. It is a pay-per-use service where the customer pays for electricity used and a rental fee for the container.
