Coffee Based has developed a Coffee Recycle Service together with waste management companies Maas en Suez. Coffee grounds no longer go into the trash but are used as a raw material, fertilizer or energy source. Coffee based uses it to produce notepads, plant pots, coffee machines and coffee cups. More innovations are under way including furniture, lighting and trays.There is plenty of potential because in the Netherlands alone 250 million kilo’s of coffee ground is produced every year.
