At the moment most hydrogen is created from natural gas. This results in CO2 emissions so this is not a sustainable technology. Hycamite is developing a technology that converts natural gas into hydrogen and pure carbon. This pure carbon can be used in industrial applications including batteries, electronics, tubes and cables. When biogas is used as a feedstock instead of natural gas, this technology becomes carbon negative. The carbon is locked into a fixed product instead of being in the atmosphere.
