Zinc and manganese are essential elements in agriculture. But because of soil depletion 50% of the world’s soils are deficient in zinc and 10% are deficient in manganese. Tracegrow has developed a process to extract these elements from recycled alkaline batteries and industrial side streams. Their proces is efficient and does not produce waste water or flue gases. It reduces the need for virgin metals and offers an effective way to dispose of alkaline batteries.
