Infrastructure company Dura Vermeer has developed an on-site asphalt recycling train. The old asphalt is heated with infrared heaters and carefully removed to maintain the right properties. Thereafter new materials are added and the new mix can be spread and compacted on the road. It is possible to use 100% of the existing materials. CO2 emissions are lower because transport to and from an asphalt facillity is not needed.
