Biofiber Tech has developed a patented technology to chemically modify wood fibers to make them more plastic-like (hydrophobic and ductile) and become a great feedstock to produce biocomposites. The chemicals that are used are not harmful to the environment. The wood fibers can be used in combination with a biodegradable plastic to create a sustainable end product that uses less fossil fuels and acts as a carbon trap for the lifetime of the product. It can easily be recycled by adding fresh wood fibers.
